Chamonix Martigny(195 views)
Description: During the interwar period, Roger Broders was the finest designer of French travel posters. Many of his best were for the French railroad, the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranee (PlM). Known for his posters of the fashionable resorts of the Cote D'Azur, Broders is also well known for his Deco stylized images of the winter resorts, mountains, and skiers that frequented them in the French Alps. While most posters for Martigny focus on the area's luxurious and sprawling spa facilities, this design simply shows off its dramatic mountain range where France, Italy, and Switzerland meet. The poster features the famous three rail cog train that climbs the Trient Gorge. This is an original vintage poster, printed in 1930.
