French Draw-Leaf Dining Table(236 views)
Description: French draw-leaf dining table that was carefully stripped of its original finish and made to look like raw white oak, but with an invisible matte protective clear coat. Structurally rebuilt and we even went so far as installing felt under the top, so that when you pull out the leaves you do not damage the finish. This design we believe was invented by the Italians in the mid-1600s and are still being produced today, which should tell you something about great design. Now why they are commonly referred to as French draw-leafs and not Italian, I have no answer. Practical, good looking and goes from seating six to ten people in under 30 seconds is tough to beat. On a side note, we also have buffets listed on 1stdibs that could be finished to match. Table extends to 97" with the leaves.
