Description: During the interwar period, Roger Broders was the finest designer of French travel posters. Many of his best were for the French railroad, the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranee (PlM). Known for his posters of the fashionable resorts of the Cote D'Azur, Broders is also well known for his Deco stylized images of the winter resorts, mountains, and skiers that frequented them in the French Alps.A breathtaking natural wonder in the Chamonix valley, the Diosaz Gorge is a series of rapids and waterfalls flowing between the mountains. As shown in the poster, a footpath was built so that tourists could walk the stretch of the river and mountains. there are two variations of this image which have minor color and text differences. This is an original vintage poster, printed c.1930
