Description: During the interwar period, Roger Broders was the finest designer of French travel posters. Many of his best were for the French railroad, the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranee (PlM). Known for his posters of the fashionable resorts of the Cote D'Azur, Broders is also well known for his Deco stylized images of the winter resorts, mountains, and skiers that frequented them in the French Alps. a dramatic image of the "needle" of Dru, rising out of the Mt. Blanc chain of mountains, near Chamonix. In 1924, the same image was used on the cover of a French geography text book. This is an original vintage poster, printed in 1924.
