Miniature late 17th-century Style Walnut Gate-leg Table(418 views)
Description: ??Miniature?? walnut gate-leg drop-leaf table. The oval top with bull nose edge and two drop leaves which, when raised form the oval top. The frieze contains a single full-depth drawer with brass pull, above a shaped apron and all supported on baluster turned legs united by box stretchers and standing on small ball feet.
Notes: We put the word ??miniature?? in quotes as it is not what we all normally think of as a 'miniature'. It is a larger size than most, but as with so many good miniatures, the quality is superb. It is perfectly drawn. To add to it, it has a wonderful dry finish; the kind one loves seeing and so rarely does today.
