Neolithic : Neolithic Stone Adze Blade, From Northern Viet Nam, Phung Nguyen Period (2500 BC to 1500BC) #397(191 views)
Description: This type of artifact is called an adze blade. The adze configuration has the blade hafted at right angles to the handle (different by 90 degrees from the orientation of the axe blade that is more familiar to Europeans and Americans). It was used for many different tasks, but the motion often ended with the blade *coming back* toward the user. Of note on this piece is the substantial corrosion over the entire surface. The vast majority of stone materials used for tool-making in the Neolithic period DO corrode, albeit slowly.*
Depending on the size of the item, I ship Priority USPS Mail or UPS in the States. I will also ship internationally but will need the destination country to calculate the shipping charges.
All items will be insured for cost of purchase given their uniqueness .
For international shipments, I use Priority International or First Class Mail. Priority International has a tracking number, but not all countries scan packages. You may prefer regular First Class International mail, which is just as secure.
All International Customers receive sharp, clear photos of their paid customs form, declaration and postal receipts.
All items will be packaged using the best methods available to prevent any damage while in transit. When appropriate I provide, tracking information, dates, and or address information needed.
