Porcelain Supper Set(158 views)
Description: Hybrid porcelain (one of the early attempts to produce hard-paste porcelain). Copeland or Spode (unmarked). This rare supper set is a real collector's item. These were used in the most fashionable homes and the late 18th Century in both the United States and Britain. It consists of a center bowl with lid and 4 quarter-round bowls originally used to serve a small supper or for pickles and relishes at a larger meal. The white ground is accented with purple ribbon and 23K gold edge and decoration.
Condition Report: Very good condition. Some wear to painted and gold decoration.
