Regency Chandelier(167 views)
Description: Bronze frame with lead crystal drops. This outstanding fixture is probably the work of John Blades of Ludgate Hill, London. Blades was one of the premier makers in Regency England. The gilt bronze frame supports 6 arms and 6 internal lights; the internal lights give the chandelier an amazing golden glow at night. 90% of the prisims are original, and the replaced prisms are old exact copies. Shades are hand-blown copies. Crown is topped by five-point bronze stars with crystal buttons. Heavy cut crystal bobeches are hung with Georgian rule prisms. Appropiate chain and ceiling canopy are included with the fixture.
