Description: Kenn Backhaus is known for painting a wide variety of subjects. This painting depicts a harbor scene in early morning light. Backhaus is a Master level in both Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. He is a Signature Member and past President of Plein Air Painters of America, the oldest plein air organization in the country and a Signature Member of the California Art Club. Backhaus was featured in the APT Television Series, Passport and Palette and the PBS Series Plein Air, Painting the American Landscape. He was just recently featured in an article in Plein Air Magazine, July, 2016. His work was on the cover of Plein Air Magazine, fall of 2011, and in an article in March, 2012.
