Ronald Seager: Red Farm Summer Oil Painting(175 views)
Description: Massachusetts artist Ronald Seager (1930-2005) was an active participant in the Rockport / Cape Ann art scene. In addition to many fine marine paintings, he also produced several lovely oil plein air countryside views. This one features the road to a farm with red buildings. See my other Seager paintings for other paintings made at this location which I call "The Red Farm". The location is most likely in Vermont, a favorite inland painting location for Cape Ann artists. The oil painting is signed on the front and is in original, good condition. The canvas measures 16"x20" and the original frame, which is 1900's vintage, shows wear and is painted gold. It measures 20"x24". A protective board has been added to the back of the canvas, but otherwise it is original.
