Still Life with Flowers(25 views)
Description: Encouraged by Pierre Bonnard to move to Paris, Vignoles quickly established himself in the Parisian art world. He began to exhibit at the Salon d'Automne, and in 1950 he became a member of the Salon des Independents. In 1951 he exhibited in the Salon des Jeunes Oeintres, and was later elected a committee member. In 1952 the French State made its first purchase of one of his paintings, and in succeeding years others were purchased both by the French State and the City of Paris. He is best known for his still lifes executed with a breathtaking palette, and both thin brushwork and heavy impasto, resulting in paintings that envelope the senses. This work is a grand 59 x 42 inches framed.
