Description: One of the most famous and prolific Swiss poster artists, Leupin created nearly 1000 posters. He won 85 "Swiss Poster of the Year" awards...and countless others internationally. Like his French counterpart, Raymond Savignac, he designed countless posters around the visual gag system. However, before he adopted that style he was a devotee of the Swiss school's neo-objectivity, designing posters in a hyperrealist style. Currently Leupin has over 10 posters in the permanent collection of MOMA, New York. His brightly colored and whimsical style became the dominant look of consumer advertising in the 50's and 60's around the world.
